The location of Domus Gemi is fantastic. It’s great to stay in the heart of Naples. Pasquale is very welcoming and a great host, always helpful. This is the second time we have stayed here and would stay again if we go back to Naples.
Lovely B&B and an excellent choice!
There was nothing that I didn't like, however, as there are 6 flights of stairs perhaps it wouldn't be ideal for those with limited mobility but in my view it was worth the climb for the view.
The location was great, particularly as I was travelling solo, it's right in the heart of the historic quarter with many cafes and bars in the immediate vicinity. The owner was extremely helpful, advising on places to visit and ordering me a taxi for my early morning flight. The room was spacious and very clean with an authentic Italian feel. It's great value and I readily recommend this delightful B&B, I will definitely return should I visit Naples again.
Genuine and homely stay in the heart of Naples.
I loved absolutely everything about the place, and while I personally wouldn't change a thing, perhaps the three flights of stairs for some less mobile guests would not be ideal.
Perfect location for a week's stay in the heart of Naples, but within easy reach of the port to explore further afield. Pasquale was the perfect host and while the B&B allowed us to come away feeling that we had "lived" in the city rather than just stayed, we always felt that help was close at hand should we want it. Lovely room with a stunning view of the historic centre. The way breakfast was organised was particularly charming; being able to pop across the road for a drink and a pastry all having been paid for by our host in advance was a great way to start the day and yet another one of the ways we felt truly looked after during our stay. Would 100% recommend this place.
Naples at its best! Perfect location in the Cuore di Napoli and Pasquale was the nicest and friendliest host. We will come back.
Great B&B, ideally located
We liked everything and breakfast was enough for us, but if you have a big stomach you might want to have a varied and big breakfast. The breakfast takes place in the bar down the B&B. And only a pastry and beverage are included in the price. BUT the pastries were good as well as the coffee, and the owner was very wlecoming and nice. He also speaked a bit of french :-)
Domus Gemi is a great B&B, the host were very nice and helpful, we could join them and ask any question with whatsapp. It is ideally located near touristic places and train station. The rooms were big and clean, and against all expectations it was very quiet even if it is situated in a crowded street.
lovely place all over
Great place to stay
The first night we had problems with our wifi, but the second night everyting was ok.
The host was superfriendly and we got everything we wanted even though we had language barrier, but it was no big deal. The location is superb and the room was very cosy and clean. Definitely recommending this one when you are visiting Naples.
Very friendly and helpful owner, also nice cleaning lady - all excellent On third floor or so, just opposite and round the corner from two of Naples' many churches. Can be noisy at night but that's Naples Old Town for you!
Traditional apartment at the heart of the Centro Storico
The apartment is absolutely in the middle of the centro Storico. Its up 60 steps, but that's inevitable for this part of the city. We weren't bothered by noise. The owner was helpful and pleasant.
Great stay. WIsh we had more time.
It was a lot of stairs with luggage, but if you wait a minute, Pasquale will run down and help you with the luggage.
The location was amazing. Beautiful view of the church and on the main road in the old town.
Friendly staff Located in the centro storico, very convenient Good price
Perfect stay in Naples
We really enjoyed our stay at Domus Gemi. Friendly, welcoming and professional owner, beautiful city full of interesting places and sights and culinary delights. Domus Gemi enjoys a perfect location in the old city where things happen...and Naples is really a city where anonymous, modern hotels will never be an added value. We travelled by car, and the owner found a solution for us to park overnight for a correct amount; so having a car is not a reason to book somewhere else. A 5 minute walk from the parking lot will bring you to the place which is in a predominantly pedestrian area, you will not regret it.
Live like a Napolitan at Domus Gemi
Pascuale has been a great host, showed and explained very well his city. Loved the location, nothing more central for this price. Would have loved to stayed true days.
A gem of a B&B in the center of historic Naples
For me, this place was great, but there are two things other people might mind that I will note: I could see some people bothered by the noise on the street in the evenings, since you are in the center of everything. My room was right on the street and I found the extra windows to be adequate for noise insulation, but it was not completely silent. The location is up many flights of stairs, so this would not be the place to stay for someone who cannot manage several flights.
Pasquale was a lovely host. When I arrived, he gave me an orientation to the area, offered to answer any questions, showed me a very lovely room, and checked in later to make sure everything was okay -- was generally warm and friendly and wanted to be sure I had a great stay, which I did. The location is in the middle of everything, which I found perfect. You really don't need to leave the area, but if you want to (I went to Sorrento and Amalfi for a day), you're a 15-20 min walk (or one train stop) from the central station. You will within blocks of the Duomo, Piazza del Dante, markets and shopping. Traveling by myself, this place was perfect from a security vantage too. And for anyone who like me must travel gluten-free in Italy, there are two pizzerias and a bakery that are all celiac-friendly within 2 blocks in each direction of the B&B.
Warm and nice place. Will definitely come back again!
I can't find something wrong in this place. It might be that no lift in an old building but Pasquale was very helpful with luggage and explained that being into the hystorical centre it's very hard to modify the structures even if would bring benefits.
It was just for a night as I was going to meet some friend in Sorrento but I had a great hospitality. Pasquale absolutely amazing. Helped me with late check in as I've just booked in the morning and I arrived later than 9pm the same day. Lovely and warm care like just Napolitan people can have and what more, he supported me till I took train to Sorrento guiding through the lovely "vicos" of Napoli. Thanks for great experience. I will look forward to visit your place again when will be around. Rooms are big with ensuite and all the comfort and the breakfast was just AMAZING, with real Napolitan espresso and delicious phrolla.
